Lovaan craft and connect at Club Sup event
On a lovely Saturday afternoon in inner Melbourne, members of the Lovaan community gathered in person for the first time. Supported by Club Sup, a beloved supper club, we hosted a meet-up to craft, connect and discover our current collection up close.
As spring light poured in through the glass front, the community turned their hands to macramé. Each guest was invited to knot together a wine bottle bag in paracord. The colours, spanning zesty lemongrass to regal violet, echoed the vibrant shades of Lovaan’s latest collection.
Club Sup has learnt from experience that something special happens when you combine strangers, a wholesome activity, and a safe environment. Conversation and laughter expand to fill and warm the space, positivity spreads, and people genuinely connect regardless of differences. This is a testament to the power of shared experience and tactile creation.
Between iced matcha lattes, buttery croissants, sweets and almonds, we crafted our bags and captured details from the day. Scroll through for the highlights.
Each guest was given a glass jar of coloured paracord for their bag. Step by step, Olivia and Ellen from Virk Bags walked us through the art of macramé.
The light-filled space was lined with spring-toned Lovaan dresses. Olive green to macaroon pink and midnight blue coloured the room, while communal tables were dotted with freshly picked wildflowers and postcards of Lovaan’s Smell the Roses collection.
